The Coop

(keeping the wolves away)

INTRODUCTION ABOUT US

Organized, Accessible, Protective and Enduring

We get you organized

An intuitive, thoughtfully laid out digital planning system, to get your vital financial and material life categorized and ready. If you are like most people, your documents, your receipts, your holdings, are housed in various forms, whether paper files, email folders, on a laptop and in multiple apps, your Coop gets your life organized into easily divided information bins in one centralized location.

We stop you from searching

All your information is in one location that is easy to access; no more rifling through drawers, figuring out what folder on your laptop contains that information, or worst of all, searching through emails hoping you have a copy.

We protect you when disaster strikes

Your Coop acts as both a primary and secondary backup system. In life, certain things must remain on paper, such as your identification or your will. And in life, disaster sometimes strikes; in these circumstances, your Coop acts as your safety net. You will have easy access to your information anywhere, ensuring a copy can help smooth a tough situation.

We allow you to leave a final gift

Upon your passing, the inventory of your entire estate is ready, with instructions on what to do with each asset, alleviating a massive stress point for your loved ones and hundreds of hours of time.

GUIDED

We’re organized, so you don’t have to be. Your Coop is easy and intuitive to understand, use and access.

01.
Easy to Use

Today, your information is scattered across paper files, a laptop or desktop, and throughout past emails, The Coop organizes everything into information bins, guiding you to enter relevant details for a complete, centralized record. It’s simple; make your way through each bin, add and upload the relevant information and once you have gone through every bin, your Coop is complete. Going forward, we actively engage with you to review and update your information, ensuring it remains current and comprehensive.

02.
Easy to Access

You can unlock your Coop anytime, anywhere, with your individual encryption key to access your information and documents easily. As a cloud-based application, wherever you have a device and an internet connection, you have full access to your Coop, ensuring everything is right at your fingers tips, right on time. Further, upon your passing, those you have designated to receive the information contained within you Coop, will have access in as little as 72 hours to the contained information and documents through their free user profiles.

03.
Comprehensive and Non-Intrusive

Unlike systems that collect your financial holdings or websites that store your passwords, The Electronic Guardian houses everything you need in one, secure, and centralized location. And unlike others, we do not have access to, or knowledge as to any of the holdings within your Coop. The Coop is organized into distinctive information bins, including, but not limited to, your Will, bank accounts/relationships, insurance, historical tax information/documents, trusts, real estate holdings and login credentials.

Your Coop is organized into information bins

  • The ability to upload your Will and the name and contact details of your executor.
  • Instructions outside of what is contained in the Will, including the ability to clarify statements contained within.
  • The ability to designate this as the last Will and Testament.
  • Provide the information for each bank account – the institution, the account number, the ownership structure, and any accompanying special instructions.
  • Add in any liabilities, such as credit card information or outstanding loans.
  • This sub-section should include all owned real estate – a primary and/or secondary residence, rental property, and/or commercial holdings.
  • Upload all mortgage documents to the specific real estate holding, including loans, deeds, and purchase agreements, as well as information regarding the tax basis of the property, including accounting statements.
  • With regard to real estate investment holdings, you will upload any operating agreements, management agreements, as well as any organizational documentation.
  • For rental properties, a description of the type of rental, lease agreements and if there is a management company involved, the management service agreement, as well as contact information.
  • A one stop shop if you need to engage with a tax authority in the future.
  • Depending on your tax situation, you are required to keep historical tax information for anywhere from five to seven years.
  • Within this Information Bin, you are able to upload your federal, state, local and/or foreign tax forms, as well as all the accompanying documentation, such as W-2s, 1099s, Mortgage Statements and receipts for various expenses, including charitable contributions
  • The Coop houses credentials for all accounts and devices. For example, login codes, usernames and/ or password to your mobile phone, home and work laptops, credit card information, bank accounts, utility bills, and even a home or work alarm system. These will allow your loved ones who are managing the assets of your estate to access to perform the necessary notifications to each of these companies.
  • Life insurance, providing policy numbers and contact information to start the process of collecting life insurance. As life insurance does not go through probate, the money that moves to your beneficiaries may be necessary while other assets in the estate are sorted out.
  • Other insurance information such as home, auto, or other type of insurance policies, so that those policies remain in effect to provide that protection.
  • Annuity information, as there is often some residual value contained therein.
  • Here you will list out all your private holdings, including uploading the vital documents, including operating and subscription agreements.
  • Attach the contact to your personal attorney.
  • Within the final instructions, provide directions on how your heirs may seek to dispose of said investments.
  • If any, or all of your assets are held in a trust, this is important information to make available so that the person(s) to whom you wish to have access to this information can take the appropriate steps to ensure a smooth transition, including providing the name and contact of the managing party.

  • ID:  There is no question, there is no substitution for the actual identification, whether your license, passport or other government issued ID. The COOP encourages you to house a copy of all of your identification in case of an emergency. For example, you are traveling abroad and your passport becomes lost or stolen, having a copy can be a life saver, both in terms of insuring you have ID for local officials when needed and to help expedite the process with your country’s embassy.
  • Vital contacts.
  • Any additional documentation that may be necessary to manage your estate and personal effects.
  • The Estate Vault comes with the option to add up to four video uploads to your subscription.
  • These could be final instructions, goodbye messages, or whatever message you seek to leave behind.

Secure

We built The Electronic Guardian with a Security First mindset. To unlock and access your Coop, you will need to enter in your individually created encryption key. In designing our encryption process, we set out to provide users of The Electronic Guardian with the highest level of security, equivalent to a private, non-stored, key such as that used for digital property like Bitcoin. Such a system ensures that if there is an outside incursion or hack, the key is nowhere to be found on the system; your information is safe.

Private

Just like a brick-and-mortar safe deposit box at your local bank, your Coop is yours. We do not have access to the data contained therein. Electronic Guardian does not sell or make any of your personal data available.

The Electronic Guardian

Further, unlike other solutions on the market, the information contained within your Coop remains contained until after you pass, so rest assured, no one has access until you are ready to provide them with access.
